Reminoo — Privacy Policy

Reminoo ("we", "the app") is a location-based reminder app. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

• Account: email address (and name/username you provide) via Firebase Authentication, including Google Sign-In.
• Location: device location is used on your device to trigger reminders via geofencing, including in the background when you enable it. Reminder locations you choose are stored in your account.
• Your content: reminders, categories, and saved places you create.
• Public reminders: if you choose to make a reminder public, its title, note, location, and your @username are shown to other users. This is optional and off by default.
• Shared reminders: if you share a reminder via link, a copy of that reminder is stored temporarily (expires in 7 days) so the recipient can view it.

How we use it

To provide the core service: authentication, triggering location reminders, syncing your data across sessions, and (only if you opt in) showing public reminders on the map.

Storage & processing

Data is stored with Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore). Maps are displayed via Google Maps Platform; converting a map point to an address is done on your device. Your background location is processed on-device and is not sold.

Data retention & deletion

You can delete your account in-app (Settings → Delete Account), which removes your reminders, categories, saved places, public reminders, and profile. Shared-reminder links expire automatically after 7 days.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Public/shared content is visible only as described above when you opt in.

Children

Reminoo is not directed to children under 13.
